Bruce S. Povman is a trial attorney specializing in medical malpractice, complex negligence matters and appellate practice.  He is a former Tort Trial Specialist with the Corporation Counsel of the City of New York in the Special Litigation and Medical Malpractice Units. He was the recipient of the Prize for Outstanding Achievement awarded by the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.  He also received the New York City Law Department Award for Outstanding Ability and Achievement in Public Service Law.

Mr. Povman graduated with honors from Georgetown University School of Business and New York University School of Law. He is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.  

For over 30 years Mr. Povman has successfully litigated high profile cases in all counties of the City of New York as well as Westchester, Nassau and Suffolk counties.  Mr. Povman has taken in excess of 50 verdicts and briefed and argued over 20 appeals in the New York State Appellate Divisions and the Court of Appeals.  Mr. Povman has been named to the New York City Super Lawyers list since 2010.
